The Natural Park `Saale-Unstrut-Triasland` extends over the Burgenlandkreis and the districts Merseburg-Querfurt and Weißenfels. The open landscape with its changing of gentle hills, smooth plateaus and steep slopes with dry grass and wine yards, the fruit meadows, river valleys, castles and palaces as well as the historical towns and villages are a symbol that nature and culture can closely exist together. An intact nature offers the visitor a remarkable world of animals and plants. The Natural Park `Saale-Unstrut-Triasland` made it its task to preserve this landscape.
