your holiday

This cycle route in southern Saxony-Anhalt links various cycle trails to create a figure-of-eight circuit. The cycle trails run from Naumburg along two routes (eastern and western routes).

Eastern route (109 km)
River Saale Cycle Trail from Naumburg – Schönburg – Leißling – Weißenfels – Dehlitz – Rippach Cycle Trail – Poserna – Taucha – Webau – Hohenmölsen – Mondsee – Deuben – Luckenau – Kretzschau to Zeitz – Elster Cycle Trail – Großosida – Haynsburg – Wetterzeube – Droyßig – Hassel – Weißenborn – Weickelsdorf – Waldau – Osterfeld through the Wethau Valley – Pauscha – Löbitz – Beuditz – Mertendorf – Wethau – Schönburg – Naumburg

The Zuckerbahn-Radweg (“sugar railway cycle trail”) runs along the former railway line between Zeitz and Camburg. It has been completed between the towns of Zeitz and Seidewitz, so that the Radacht cycle route now runs along this trail between Zeitz and Osterfeld. The maximum gradient is less than 3%.

Alternatively you can also ride to Droyßig from Zeitz via Wetterzeube and Pötewitz, and then follow the Elster Cycle Trail to Wetterzeube, although there is a slight gradient (6%) to overcome between Pötewitz and Droyßig (Mückenschänke tavern).
The signposting for the newly built stretch is still in preparation. We therefore recommend printing out the route via the link below.
As an alternative you can start from Seidewitz and cycle to Camburg and thus the River Saale Cycle Trail on roads that have little traffic (Casekirchen, Molau, Sieglitz, Schindlitz).

Western route (77 km)
From Naumburg – Hallescher Anger – River Saale Cycle Trail to Hennebrücke – cross the bridge to the Unstrut Cycle Trail – Freyburg – Laucha – Burgscheidungen – Biberbach Cycle Trail to Bad Bibra – Eckartsberga – Auerstedt – Bad Sulza – Großheringen – Saaleck – Bad Kösen – Naumburg

Near-natural surface, roads with little traffic, from easy to demanding
