The Bismarck Tower Wettin - a landmark in the "Lower Saale Valley" Nature Park

The 21 meter high Bicmarck tower rises on a wooded porphyry cone. It is a popular excursion destination from where you can see the picturesque Saale valley, the witnesses of the Wettin coal mining, the Petersberg and, in very good weather, the Brocken. A new exhibition is installed in the tower itself at the start of each season.

It is a popular excursion destination from where you can see the picturesque Saale valley, the witnesses of the Wettin coal mining, the Petersberg and, in very good weather, the Brocken. A new exhibition is installed in the tower itself at the start of each season. 
When the white-green flag flies, the tower is open.
Usually from April - early October Saturdays and Sundays from 13:00 - 17:00.
In rainy weather the tower remains closed.

The entrance fee is 2,00 € for adults and 1,00 € for children.
School classes and children's groups can visit the tower as part of a children's city tour.
Children's city tours for groups of children outside the city area 20,00 €. Group tours from 10,00 €.
