The Templar Chapel in Wettin is a High Gothic building from the 13th century.
The Gothic chapel was part of a Kommende of the Order of the Temple. It was built at the end of the 13th century. The building consists of a porphyry embrasure with sandstone fighters. Inside, the visitor discovers filigree consoles and keystones with floral motifs. The building survived the centuries after the Reformation as a barn. At the beginning of the 90s, a gentle renovation began

Today the chapel is a cultural gem as a concert venue, a place for weddings, and as a church on the cycle path. During a guided tour or an adventure tour the visitor learns a lot of interesting things about the Templars and their chapel.
