The Himmelsscheibenradweg connects the archaeologically important places.

The cycle path is about 73 km long. It connects the location of the Nebra Sky Disk with the Sky Disk. It is exhibited in the State Museum of Prehistory in Halle (Saale). It was found on the Mittelberg in the Ziegelroda Forest. The Nebra Ark visitor centre is located three kilometres from the site. In addition to these archaeological sites, the cycle path leads through charming landscapes, e.g. through the "Mansfelder Seen" wine route, past the "Süßer See" lake and through the extensive Ziegelrodaer Forst.

Directions: Since the construction of the cycle path along the L 172, the cycle route between Leimbach and Ziegelroder Forst no longer runs through the drift but along the L 172. In good weather, however, the path through the drift is a better recommendation.

Safety Instructions: The Sky Disc Cycle Path is not yet fully developed.

Between Röblingen and Aseleben, the cycle route leads along the state road 176, but it is possible to avoid it by using the route Amsdorf- Wansleben.

In Ziegelrodaer Forst (Hermannseck- Kleinwangen) the route is led along forest paths: It is imperative that the known typical forest dangers are observed!

Between Langenbogen and Rollsdorf unpaved field path, between Zappendorf and Langenbogen, as well as Querfurt and Leimbach; partly unpaved field path.

Approach: There is a good train connection between Röblingen am See and Halle, so you can also take a short cut here.

Road markings: Symbols of the sky disk (four yellow stars above sun barque) on a green, high rectangular background
