The hike leads through Mücheln with its former 3 districts, Mücheln, St. Ulrich and St. Micheln.
The first preserved mill building on the Mühlenwanderweg, the so-called Hohmann Mill, was still in operation until 1971. The mill was extended in half-timbered style at the beginning of the last century and is a building that is characteristic of the town because of its size alone.
The splashing and murmuring hostage dictates the course of the hiking trail. Not always directly along the stream - but always close by.
You will be led to the market place with the magnificent town hall.
Today the manor mill houses a creative mill. The renovated mill building is a hostel for workshops and family celebrations - a centre for creativity, exchange of ideas and a place for meetings. One of the 3 holiday apartments with a window to the old mill technology, should not only inspire friends of technology. An e-bike charging station and a mobile phone charging station are powered by the electricity of the mill wheel.
Boards along the way inform about all 5 mills. You will pass the former church- or lion mill, the Floreis- or Apel mill and the Spring- or Elbertmühle.
Remarkable is a saying in "old German" writing on a beautiful house:
In the ground, without a wheel, without a stone
whispers at night when it is clearly cool
the brook many a fairy tale and little verses
the mill of time.
And our wet hero
# Carries it dancing around the world #

Can you find the house with the spell?!

At the idyllic hostage spring - which is shaded by old trees - you can refresh the tired "ghosts" - i.e. your feet - by treading water. At the hostage spring, the end point of the hike is reached at the same time.
