From Laucha to the Dragon's Corner, the tour can be extended to the Orchid Path.

The town church of St. Marien and the listed town hall with its striking covered staircase characterise the town centre of Laucha - the starting point of the hike.
Along the old city wall, the path leads past the well-preserved Upper Gate, the double gate complex consists of an outer gate and a gatehouse. In the warm season, numerous events take place here.
On the southwest side of the Unstrut valley lie the slopes between Plößnitz and Krawinkel. It is the "shadow side" of the valley, so the slopes are predominantly forested to this day. The Borntal has cut deeply here.
The varied trail leads to Plößnitz, where the old village church was built from the foamed lime of the former quarries in the area. These old quarries are still partly visible.
The hike in the valley, in the shady forest with its species-rich flora is unparalleled.
If you have enough time, you should extend the trail with a detour to Krawinkel, where a special highlight awaits you: the orchid circuit.
Pathway:
Laucha am Markt - Drachenwinkel - Plößnitz - Laucha (detour to Krawinkel)
Tip: The Borntal circular trail can be combined with the Ennsberg circular trail and linked up to the orchid trail near Krawinkel. To the west, there are connecting paths to Bad Bibra.
In the wine manufactory "Alte Zuckerfabrik" you can book a wine tasting and stay overnight: www.wein-zuckerfabrik.de.
It is also possible to stop at the Schützenhaus and spend the night there: www.schuetzenhaus-laucha.de
A café opens in Krawinkel at the time of the orchid bloom.
