This cycle route connects the Geiseltalsee with the Saale cycle path and the Elster-Saale cycle path.

The Pfännerhall in Braunsbedra is a reminder of the time of lignite mining in the Geiseltal. In Bad Dürrenberg you walk on the traces of salt production and in Lützen you get a little closer to the main battles of the 30-year war.
