Description:
Hike through a region dominated by orchards, above the Kloschwitz stream
The hike begins at the hikers' car park on the Saale in Trebnitz. A viewing platform with a view of the Saale, information boards and a rest area are the ideal start.
The trail goes uphill on a narrow forest path, on the clearing with a view into the Saale valley, there are sight lines all the way to Friedeburg. The slag heap of the former Johannashall potash salt mine becomes visible through fields.

The tranquil village of Beesenstedt boasts a castle. The Kloschwitz stream once powered the ice mill and the Kloschwitz mill. Fragments along the way give an idea of where the mills once rattled.
Old orchards alternate with shady deciduous forests and steep valleys. From Kloschwitz you hike directly along the Saale back to Trebitz.
You can combine this hike with a hike into the Kühlbachtal or into the Stengelholz via the Himmelsleiter.

Author's Tip: Stalk wood over the ladder to heaven
The hike, as the name already suggests, leads steeply upwards - evenly the Himmelsleiter with a wide view into the Saale valley and leads through a sparse forest. It ends in Kloschwitz at two salt springs, whose water is used in a freely accessible Kneipp facility.
Kühlbachtal
Especially on a hot summer day, this hike - as the name already promises - will keep you cool. The small babbling brook accompanies the path part of the way.
Parking: Public hiking car park with viewing platform in Trebitz
