Below vineyards, through fields and orchards you will discover one of the famous vineyards of the region - the Karsdorfer Hohe Gräte.
On the ridge was one of the protective castles of the Unstrut valley. The remains of the ramparts above the vineyard, still visible today, were the inspiration for the name of this historic vineyard site, as they stand out against the horizon like the bones of a fish.
On the "Steigarer Plateau" you have a view from the first row - not only on the ICE-track, which is impressive.

Author's Tip: The Jakobus pilgrimage path runs over parts of the hiking trail. The Unstrut cycle path runs through Reinsdorf and Karsdorf. In Karsdorf you can rent canoes as well as bicycles at the canoe rental Nebra and explore the Saale-Unstrut from the water (www.kanuverleih-nebra.de).
The Troy Town, a labyrinth carved into the lawn, winds like a snake. Over 200 steps are necessary to get from one end to the other. The purpose and time of origin are obscured by history, but it's a lot of fun to walk the labyrinth.
