Public guided tour of the Zeitz Abbey Library
From April to October, the Zeitz Abbey Library can be visited on the last Saturday of every month as part of a guided tour open to the public.

From April to October, the Zeitz Abbey Library can be visited on the last Saturday of every month as part of a guided tour open to the public.
The guided tour provides an overview of the history of the unique book collections and archive holdings institutionally linked to various ecclesiastical institutions in Zeitz, whose beginnings date back to the late Middle Ages. These include manuscripts and prints from 1,500 years of book history. The focus of the explanations is on aspects of late medieval and early modern book and library history.
On display alongside the objects in the exhibition are selected pieces from the collection.
Duration: approx. 60 minutes
The number is limited to 25 people per group.
Tickets can be reserved in advance via our visitor service and our ticket shop.
