Bronze casting - Blades from the mould

A day workshop for adults as part of the summer workshop "Fire and Metal

It takes about 1100° to melt copper and tin. Then to bring the bronze alloy into the desired shape - that is an exciting process. The participants* each make an individual mould from soapstone under supervision. Then blades, spearheads or robe needles are cast - each piece is unique.
