203rd Fountain Festival Bad Kösen

After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the Bad Kösen Fountain Festival will finally be celebrated again this year, commemorating the drilling of the brine springs.

Due to the high salt production at the end of the 18th century in Bad Kösen, there were many employees in the saltworks. Among them, the desire arose to celebrate a festival every year.
In 1817 it was held for the first time with free beer in the saltworks.

New years later, it became a public festivity, celebrated by the entire population and an integral part of local tradition as the BRUNNENFEST.


PLEASE USE THE PARKING SPACE IN THE UFERSTRAßE and observe the road closures for the parade from 13:00 on 12.06.2022.
