"The Seilschaft - The Gundermann Band"

Description:

With more and more mature songs the band hit the nerve of the audience, especially live.

Gundermann's music and lyrics continue to keep people on the edge of their seats. The thirst to hear him is inexhaustible, and people want it live. "Blame" for the remarkable Gerhard Gundermann revival??? has not least the "Seilschaft" - the band with which the legendary singer-songwriter and rock poet, who died much too early, reached a critically demanding audience in the East and West in the 90s

Gundermann's music and lyrics continue to keep people on the edge of their seats. The thirst to hear him is inexhaustible, and people want it live. "Blame" for the remarkable Gerhard Gundermann revival??? has not least the "Seilschaft" - the band with which the legendary singer-songwriter and rock poet, who died much too early, reached a critically demanding audience in the East and West in the 90s. "Guilt" also has the young Leipzig singer-songwriter Christian Haase, on the road for years with authentic Gundermann interpretations. Together they bring back the spirituality.
The Seilschaft, founded in 1992 in the rehearsal room, recorded with Gundermann from 1993 onwards several
studio albums (Der7te Samurai, Frühstück für immer, Engel über dem Revier) which were released until
have lost none of their power and depth today. With ever more mature songs, the band hit the nerve of the audience, especially live. Unforgettable are the concerts in the support of Bob Dylan or Joan Baez.
After Gundermann's unexpected death in 1998, new, unreleased recordings have appeared again and again on CD and DVD, on which his songs tell of life and death, of love, home, alienation and longing for freedom.
In the end, Gundermann was Seilschaft, and Seilschaft was Gundermann. With Mario Ferraro and Michael Nass, two more composers had joined the team, writing and producing together with the poet from Hoyerswerda. Ferraro, Nass and the others never left their times together behind. After the Gundermann tribute concert in 2008, plans gradually matured to play songs like "Brunhilde", "Linda", "Schwarze Galeere" and "Engel überm Revier" into hearts anew.
It's been going on since spring 2011, and it all seems to be just the beginning. On April 15, 2011, Berlin's "Fritzklub im Postbahnhof" was almost bursting at the seams. The next day it was Leipzig's "Anker" where the enthusiasm for Gundermann's songs was reignited. Reason enough for the old-new Seilschaft to add a lot more... in new songs, new power and new intensity.
With all this, the "Seilschaft von heute" forms a mixture of a special kind. New faces have joined and the "old" bards have still gained experience with completely different projects.

Joining us are:
Mario Ferraro and Andy Wieczorek, who together initiated the trash-polka band Polkaholix and have since been touring with Christoph Frenz at many festivals throughout Europe.
Michael Nass, who has been a member of the Cologne band BAP since 1999, is also a composer and co-producer there and has also accompanied many other artists and projects.
Tina Powileit, who already played in the DEFA film "Die Alleinseglerin" directed by Hermann Zschoche in 1987, with "Mona Lise" the first women's rock band in the GDR.
And last but not least Christian Haase, who has already released several CDs with his own band and has been known to fans for years for his authentic Gundermann interpretations.
