Germany's popular meerkats are going on tour for the first time with a big stage show from October 2018!
Known from the TV children's program "KIKA", the curious, lovable and slightly clumsy meerkats "Jan and Henry" experience interesting adventures for the little viewers.
To the stage show:
The Theater Lichtermeer is bringing a well-known TV series to the stage for the first time with "Jan and Henry".
Similar to the good old Muppets movies, puppets and humans unite to form an acting ensemble in which live acting, singing, dancing and music are performed in front of a large, versatile stage set.
In the stage show, Jan and Henry live in their burrow under an apartment building. They know and love the noises from the house above them. One day a new caretaker moves in. From then on many of the beloved noises are missing. Jan and Henry get to the bottom of it... Jan and Henry - on a musical mission, for the first time on a theatre stage, in a funny and exciting story with lots of music.
To Jan & Henry and Martin Reinl:
The meerkat brothers Jan & Henry are usually kept from sleeping every night by a new, unknown noise. With a lot of curiosity and imagination they try to solve every mystery. In the process, the funniest stories emerge.
Puppet father Martin Reinl (Puppenstars/RTL, Woozle Goozle/SuperRTL, Zimmer frei/WDR) burns with passion for his works. Numerous prizes are the thanks for so much creativity, including children's media prizes Goldener Spatz, Der weiße Elefant or Emil as well as several Grimme Award nominations.
A production of the Theater Lichtermeer.
