To mark the start of the season in the 1050th year of Emperor Otto the Great's death, Memleben Monastery is offering a special guided tour in the footsteps of the Ottonian rulers.
Reinhard Schmitt, who has been accompanying Memleben Monastery as a building researcher for many decades, goes into detail about the archaeological investigations of 1980/81 and 1995 in his guided tour. Get to know Memleben Monastery from a new perspective and learn exciting facts about the Ottonian monastery church. Afterwards, you can warm up in the new refectory with mulled wine and a warm monastery soup, and then visit the grounds and our exhibitions, which will be open again for you.
