The Games will kick off on 19 September with an emotional opening ceremony in the Stadthalle. Among other things, the flag will be raised and the Special Olympics fire lit. From 20-22 September, all-day competitions are planned in the Stadthalle sports complex and other sports facilities. On 22 September, the games will end with the closing ceremony in the heart of the city, the market square.
