7 p.m. Lecture: Beautiful to marvel at - stars and shooting stars over Mittelberg
In the night sky above the Mittelberg, even stars many light years away and the dull shimmering band of the Milky Way seem close enough to touch. In an entertaining and vivid way, experienced astronomers from the Halle Society for Astronomical Education present the most beautiful stars and phenomena of the night sky. These include red and blue giant stars, fascinating planets, galaxies and the shooting stars of the Perseid meteor stream.
8 pm Guided hike to the site where the sky disc was found on Mittelberg Mountain
On the hike there is information about other archaeological sites as well as the art trail "Between World and Cosmos".
From 10 p.m. Waiting for the shooting stars and sky watching with the telescope
There are useful tips for successful observation of the annually visible tracers.

Please note:
Nebra Ark is open until 30 September 2022. In October, the visitor centre will close due to major renovation and extension work. The Arche Nebra team will still be there for you: For the time of the closure, there are bookable offers in the outdoor area and a creative competition. The site where the Nebra Sky Disk was found will remain accessible in any case. Please check the website www.himmelsscheibe-erleben.de for the progress of the work. The reopening of Nebra Ark is planned for June 2023.
