Airfield Laucha an der Unstrut

The Haus der Luftsportjugend e.V., affectionately also abbreviated HdL, is a gliding school, youth education centre and accommodation. It is located at the airfield of Laucha an der Unstrut in Saxony-Anhalt, centrally located in Germany.

In the HdL, young aerial sportsmen and women already start with model making, then learn the art of gliding and later perhaps even glider aerobatics. Our accommodation not only accommodates the participants during the AIR experience or the model building holidays, but is also available to all guests for short visits during the year.

The advanced pilots can acquire their glider instructor's license in the HdL, gain experience in cross country flying or learn motor gliders.

Clubs can organize an air camp in the HdL. Camping is also possible in addition to accommodation. The Thuringian Forest, Fläming and the Harz Mountains are within easy reach. So the airfield Laucha with its slope and proximity to these areas offers excellent cross-country flight conditions. Winch launches and aero-tows are possible at any time at the HdL.

For those who prefer a more practical approach, there are numerous workshop manager and cell maintenance courses. Or would you rather be a parachute attendant? The HdL offers all topics around air sports.

And for all non-flyers, the surrounding area in Saale-Unstrut offers numerous attractions.
