Description:
The church is a late Romanesque quarry stone building, probably founded by Bishop Otto of Bamberg
He is said to have founded the church in 1128. The exterior of the church has been preserved almost untouched. A number of components characterize the Romanesque architectural style, e.g. a round-arched gate with a round-arched window above it in the southern side of the nave.
