The most beautiful pieces of the extensive furniture collection can be seen in the stately living rooms of the ducal family. In addition to furniture from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism and Biedermeier periods, this exhibition shows paintings and handicraft treasures from three centuries.
The German Stroller Museum takes you back to the childhood and history of your own family. Historical prams, pushchairs and doll's carriages, toys, clothing and furniture for children make it possible to relive childhood in past eras. With this large collection, the exhibition on the cultural history of the pram is unique in Europe. Perhaps you will even find a model from your childhood years?
In the art and museum educational centre "Johannes Lebek" a permanent exhibition shows the artistic work of the woodcutter and the different graphic printing techniques. A wide range of museum educational programmes on woodcutting, but also on the history of the town and the castle are held here.
