The hiking trail rightly bears the name Panoramaweg Mücheln. Through a shady forest path - with a view of the moated castle St.Ulrich and on the opposite side with a view of the church St. Jakobi and the baroque garden - you almost always walk above the town. Let the hostage spring enchant you.

The hike begins in the old town of Mücheln. The houses and the beautiful town hall built in the late Renaissance style are evidence of prosperity and civic pride. The walk goes along the splashing hostage. A narrow path leads uphill into the penumbra of the deciduous forest - you will be surrounded by peace and rewarded with a view of the moated castle of Ortisei.
At the idyllic hostage spring - which is shaded by old trees - you can refresh the tired "ghosts" - i.e. feet - by treading water. Once again, the route leads uphill to the Ortisei Landscape Park. The romantic park with its partly very rare trees and shrubs, its "resting niches" and the view to the baroque garden and the town Mücheln is one of the highlights of the hike. At the viaduct you can already have a look at the recreation paradise - the Geiseltalsee - before you go back to the city centre.
