Archaeotechnical workshop for families

Early Bronze Age to understand and participate in
Make your own Stone Age knives and jewellery.

The Archaeotechnical Workshop at the Pömmelte Ring Sanctuary for families on Saturday and Sunday, 23 and 24 April 2022 offers a detailed programme filled with craft, artistic and cultural impulses. Frank Trommer is an experienced archaeotechnician. Together with his team, he will lead the workshop, which will help to open up the cultural heritage of our ancestors through a hands-on approach. Scientifically sound contents are conveyed in a vivid way.
 
An introduction to the period from the transition from the Stone Age to the Early Bronze Age is followed by a practical examination of the topic. The focus is on imparting knowledge through experience. The focus is on materials and techniques that were already used in prehistory. Participants, young and old, can try out the techniques shown and familiarise themselves with the materials, for example by making a Stone Age knife or leather pouch or Stone Age jewellery.
