Every Saturday and Sunday, visitors can experience a tour of the Neu-Augustusburg Palace at Zeitzer Straße 4. The tour begins at 12:30 p.m. with a visit to the shoe museum. From there, the tour continues to the high and otherwise closed Schlossturmzimmer (Palace Tower Room), from where guests can enjoy an incomparable view over the Saale Valley.

In the imposing baroque church, visitors are then given many details of the unique building, including a visit to the organ, where the musical talent of George Frideric Handel was discovered by Duke Johann Adolf I of Saxony-Weissenfels.
The tour ends with a visit to the otherwise closed Prussian latrine building, of which only three exist in Germany, the Weißenfels building being the largest and best preserved.
