Who doesn't know it, probably the most famous of all magic spells from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's masterpiece "Faust - The Tragedy of the First Part". But did you also know that the secret council loved sleight of hand and regularly gave his grandchildren magic tricks? He saw these as "a splendid means of practising free speech and acquiring some physical and mental dexterity".
With charisma and diabolical presence, Patrick Rohbeck now presents an unprecedented symbiosis of magic, poetry and music with great miracles in a small circle. The forest zither - the regional instrument of Thuringia, related to the mandolin, banjo and Irish bouzouki - has a 400-year tradition, which Jo Rosenbrück, one of the most important forest zither players today, impressively brings to life.
