Saale-Unstrut and the wine
Fans of the region have known it for a long time: the landscape is characterised by traditional sandstone wine terraces framed by the rivers Saale, Unstrut, Ilm and Weiße Elster. The region is known above all as a paradise for wine lovers, but of course that is by no means all.
Fortunately, the region is not one of those where you have to fear mass tourism. Rather offer Naumburg, Bad Kösen, Freyburg, Querfurtwho Saale-Unstrut Triassic Geo-Nature Park and the Lake Geiseltalsee many charming sights and excursion destinations.
